The Louvre is organizing an auction to build Studio, a new educational department.
Since the advent of the Coronavirus, museum education was among the first to perish in the art system. It has happened in small businesses, but also in the most important in the world, such as the MoMA in New York. Here sudden layoffs revealed a work sector’s fragility mostly at the mercy of precarious and “expendable” contracts. It’s evident the need to strengthen and institutionalize the industry. As is happening now at the Louvre in Paris.
